Education
A Levels – The traditional route for more able students, who prefer an exam-based academic path. Students usually choose 3 subjects to study at A level, though in some cases, 4 may be studied. There are many local Sixth Form providers, but the ones most popular with our students are listed below

T Levels
T levels are new Level 3 qualifications – equivalent to 3 A levels – for young people to study after GCSEs. They have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for the world of work. They are made up of 80% classroom based learning and 20% work experience placement. T levels are for students who want to gain practical, work-related knowledge, but are not yet clear about the specific occupation they want to work in. T Levels are gradually replacing the current range of technical qualifications, such as BTECs.

BTECs – BTEC stands for the Business and Technology Education Council. BTECs are specialist work-related qualifications. They are practical-based, vocational qualification studied at college. BTECs provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a field or subject. They are an alternative to the more theory-focused, classroom-based ways of learning which does not suit all young people. They are increasingly becoming a more popular path to both university and particular jobs in place of, or in addition to, A-levels. There are over 2,000 BTEC qualifications across 16 sectors.
The most popular local colleges to study BTECs or T Levels are listed below.
