Employers

At WPA, we want our students to be ready for the world of work, with all the skills and expertise to help them fit into the ever changing workplace – and for that, we need the help of local businesses like you! We need your help to help raise our students’ career aspirations, develop their employability skills and teach them about the varied opportunities available in the local job market.

Ways to support:

  • Become an Enterprise Advisor (link to Careers and Enterprise website)

  • Be part of our Mock Interviews with our Year 9 and Year 11 students, helping them to practise valuable application writing and interview skills

  • Give an assembly or talk based on your industry or job role

  • Help champion specific issues and challenge barriers in the workplace about gender stereotyping, disability etc

  • Offer a work experience placement at your company

  • Attend our biennial Careers Fair

  • Help to run a CV workshop

  • Be part of the discussion about routes Post 16 eg. apprenticeships
